@stackleft are you crazy? DId you not just see this swing? Most tour players swing look like cookie cutter crap. The only tour player that swings remotely close to this is Trevor Immelman. HE is one of the greatest! Jack Nicklaus admits that he learned a lot from him. After Jack, there is no other greater player than Tiger. So how don’t know where you get the idea to put your money on today’s players. I hope it’s monopoly $ otherwise you will lose your shirt!
@juicyfruitzy well no question the man had a great swing. but so do a lot of guys. what i was saying is it’s hard to compare today’s players and the guys in the 50′s and 60′s. plus the swing isn’t what wins you tournaments and majors. it’s who controls his distances and putting. hogan would’ve probably been great in any era but you can’t say if he would’ve won 9 majors against today’s players.
That’s all fine and good. But Tiger is finished if he doesn’t get more upright and go with more lateral shift like Byron Nelson.

only 2 years and you shoot in the 70′s? thats very good! i am hopeless and can never break 100. time i give up this game too much of a headache!

@stackleft In the end, I just don’t think it’s possible to compare players’ skills from other eras to today’s players. But everyone can agree that there was something special about Mr. Hogan that you don’t see in most golfers today.

@AMMrawCR keep your head up. I was struggling sooo much recently. If you are struggling, and haven’t done this yet, and have already gotten lessons, try video taping yourself. I thought I was doing the right things, but WOW, was I not!!! It is amazing how you can think you are doing things in a golf swing, but reality is so much different.
@Rick102667 I agree, new equipment would have helped them, it’s just really you could probably give like tiger woods or phil mickelson a tree branch and a couple stones and they’d still probably shoot godly scores. not saying that I disagree with you
