Different Golf Training Aids.?

I have been looking at the Medicus Dual Hinge 5-Iron and the SKLZ Refiner 6 iron. The refiner looks to be about the same thing as the Medicus, but it is much much cheaper. Do you know anything about the SKLZ Refiner. Will the iron improve my iron swing as well as my driver swing?

PS: Does anyone recommend any other swing training aid?

Thanks in advance

  1. I haven’t personally used any swing trainers, so keep that in mind…

That said, I have heard all kinds of good things about the David Leadbetter Swing Setter. You can take a look at it here: http://www.rockbottomgolf.com/bag-boy-golf-david-leadbetter-swing-setter-training-aid.html

As to the hinged irons, I think you’d be fine getting the SKLZ or the Medicus, they both seem to have their fans. I wouldn’t expect a hinged iron to help at all with your swing for woods, though. There’s a reason they sell hinged drivers as a separate product – woods require a different swing than irons.

Rock Bottom Golf [ http://rockbottomgolf.com ] has both Medicus and SKLZ products. I know you can get 10% off your order total by using coupon code Slick10Off during checkout if you decide to buy from them.

    Best of luck!

  2. Go with the medicus dual hinge 5 iron it works the best

  4. Look at the swing jacket…url below

Connectivity of your body parts to your swing are important for a good golf game.

Instead of spending 200 dollars on a medicus 5 iron or driver, look at something that will allow you to use your own clubs at the range that’s going to make you swing on plane and not allow you to fly your arms around(chicken wing it).

The medicus 5 iron will not help with you driver, as the driver requires a different swing path the an iron.
