I would say a better investment would be the Medicus Driver. It’s dual hinged, so it provides feedback on the backswing as well as the downswing.
The Medicus 5 iron is also a great training aid. It really does provide great feedback if you get out of plane during your swing.
Bottom line, try it, i think you’ll like it.

I had a Medicus Swing Trainer and a Momentus Swing Trainer. I got rid of the Medicus. I think the weighted club is a much better item. It helps strengthen the swing muscles and is also a very good warm up tool. More PGA pros use weighted clubs than they do the Medicus. Intech makes a weighted club very similar to the Momentus for less than half the price. That’s what I have now. I paid $80 for the Momentus and $30 for the Intech. Plus, the Intech is a few ounces heavier, which I like.

Medicus gives new golfers the best way to understand how to swing. If you are a good golfer already I wouldn’t bother. If you are just an OK golfer and can’t get the distance you would like – I say go for it.
It changes your swing to a more ‘fluid’ motion.
The bad:
It changed my short game too. I started overshooting a lot of the time, especially 80yards in…

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that invest the money you would spend on this trainer and put it toward lessons.
I’m sure your swing will improve at the same pace.

Ya I have it and when I get a bad swing started, I pull out my medicus and see where I am messing up. When you master the medicus, you can losen the hinges and make it harder to swing perfectly.
I disagree with Mike D because people say they like my swing alot, and I still use the medicus.

The Medicus is good if you need practice getting your hands in the right position. It’s expensive.
I see where several of your answers have suggested the weighted club. Mastergrip has one for under $25.
