That is about the best instruction video I have seen, I have been playing since I was 5, so I didn’t need to watch it more than once, but I will, went out the next day concentrating on the way the clubface behaves at impact, and holding it square, [unless I was drawing it] and the gravity thing on the downswing and struck it really well…no wonder he has so many course records!

I like a great deal of this, but I’ll take exception with a few things. Everything he says is not fundamental. Fundamental means all good golfers do it i.e. turn the shoulders or shift their weight efficiently. The part I don’t love is the crossing over of the forearms in the follow through. This can work if you have a neutral to weak grip, but if you have a strong grip this will only cause a snap hook. Take a look at zach johnson’s follow through and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Johnny Miller is a tall guy. His swing had a fault when he hit the ball his body jump up a little bit. You are young you can play through it at the impact but when you aged this little jump can wreck your game. The fault is at the transition from the top! Not as Nicklaus said you drop down. NO NO NO. You tuck in behind the shoulder like Hogan did. That is power stored and ready to be released.

It does not have to be this technical. Take a look at my video: No More Fundamentals For The Golf Swing

@DASH1ful you should first understand technics before to say they are needless. a look at your video shows that it’s complete bogus.

One of the best instruction lessons, especially the gravity fall from the top and then the effort near impact. If you / we do these two things only, it will help correct the hit impulse.

When Johnny talks about turning level its important to remember to tilt your shoulders on the backswing whereby your left shoulder is 26 degrees lower than the right shoulder. This helps create the correct swing plane going back while turning the shoulders 55 degrees/ (for right handers)
