If you were around in the late 70′s and 80′s and you liked golf at all you were probably familiar with Seve Ballesteros. He was wild and powerful, yet possessed a magician’s touch to extract himself from self-inflicted trouble, usually off the tee. Seve always suffered with back pain, but it got so bad in the late 80/early 90′s he changed his swing… he was never the same again. RIP Seve, a one of a kind, complete legend.
I was hoping you would do a swing analysis if Seve – my all time favourite player, funny that you have identified a fault in his swing, which is plain to see – yet in his prime he hit shots that most players could only dream of…
He said in an interview that he had hundreds of swings depending on the shot and I think the real magic laid in his hands, he was by far the most gifted player to have picked up a club, maybe not technically but his swing, tempo and style was beautiful to watch

This is a very good analysis. I think Seve’s back problem’s and swing problems that you describe were caused by the fact that Seve did not straighten his right leg in the back-swing and then retain that pressure on the ground which this movement generates.
