Swedish Golf Pro Daniel Bäck gives me a video swing analysis to work on my golf swing in June 2010 In this video he compares me with Tiger Woods swing from the V1 library. Please go to my blog www.exilgolfer.de for the entire story. Comments to my swing are welcome, I’d prefer to read them in my blog, though. Medicus Make or Break Point 5: Position at Impact

BREAKPOINT 5: POSITION AT IMPACT Beau Rials, Mike Bennett (Medicus Advisor, PGA Tour Instructor), Bob Koch (Inventor of Medicus Dual-Hinge Driver) giving the make or break points to golf swing. The ways that you can use your Medicus to improve your golf game. This is the key to getting distance when hitting the ball. The Medicus Dual Hinge Driver is unique in that it has a more sensitive angle design so that the least flaw will be detected at this point in the swing. This does not minimize the importance in maintaining proper positioning as seen through the mechanics enforced by the Medicus, but the Medicus Dual Hinge Driver has the enhancements to enforce your ability to get the greatest distance out of your swing. As the downswing unwinds, the arms and hands should be accelerating at a faster pace than the body. This must take place in order for them to get into a position where they can move together with the body through impact. The right knee momentarily holds its position as the arms accelerate. As the left arm comes back to parallel position with the ground, the right elbow should be very close to the body. Once again, the club shaft is pointing at the target line and the wrists remain fully cocked. COMMON FAULTS: A. Casting the club outward from the top, early unhinging/uncocking of the wrists. B. Club shaft is dropped to a very flat position caused by trying to swing from too much inside out.

Mike Bennett and Bob Koch Stack and Tilt with Medicus

With the Stack and Tilt golf swing, the majority of your weight is on the leading foot which gives you more control as the club hits the ground. Less weight is shifted to the back leg, so it remains straight. This means fewer topped shots because the weight forward makes the approach to the golf ball steeper and the swing is flat and more rotational. At Break point number five, we find Mike Bennett and Bob Koch demonstrating the Stack and Tilt golf swing method using the Medicus Dual-Hinge Driver. ========================= Mike Bennett: Another spot where the club will break is break point number five. And Bob broke the club as he went pass impact. If the weight of your body is too far back, go ahead and demonstrate that Bob. If you notice that he is leaning on his right foot there, Beau. Beau: Yep. Mike Bennett: That will cause the club to overtake or break. Which will cause some missed hits. You see that all the time when people are falling back on their right foot as they try and hit the ball. Beau Rials: Ok, Bob. Go ahead. Bob Koch: So I should feel like in the center, to the left? Mike Bennett: Absolutely, more centered. Beau Rials: So you should not be rushing at this point? Mike Bennett: No.. no need to rush. Bob Koch (swings Meicus driver): Oh yeaaa. Beau Rials: Stayed completely intact all the way through. Mike Bennett: Very good. Beau Rials: Again, make or break point number five, it’s at the bottom of the swing. Don’t rush it. Mike Bennett: Right. Keep the

Medicus Make or Break Point 4: Down Swing

BREAKPOINT 4: DOWN SWING & AT THE TOP Beau Rials, Mike Bennett (Medicus Advisor, PGA Tour Instructor), Bob Koch (Inventor of Medicus Dual-Hinge Driver) giving the make or break points to golf swing. The ways that you can use your Medicus to improve your golf game. At the top of the back swing, your shoulders should be rotated 90 degrees to the target line with your hips at 45 degrees. The right knee remains flexed and the left knee points towards the golf ball. From the rear view, the club should be parallel to the target line with both hands under the shaft for support. The clubface is in a semi-skyward position and the right forearm should be perpendicular to the ground. COMMON FAULTS: A. Weight has swayed to the outside of the right foot. B. Weight has remained on the left side. C. Shaft points right of the target line and the left wrist is cupped, which opens the clubface. D. Shaft points left of target line and the left wrist is bowed, which closes the clubface.

Medicus Independent Test at the TaylorMade Performance Lab

Can the Medicus Driver actually improve your golf swing the very first time you use it? To find out, we conducted an independent test at the TaylorMade Performance Lab in Carlsbad, CA. Where nine high speed cameras and advance motion analysis software combine to create an animated 3-D image. Your swings can be viewed from any angle; compared side by side, even combined into a composite image, and then analyze to provide precise information on every aspect of your golf swing, and your golf shots. Altogether, an amazing 19 out of 20 golfers tested showed noticeable improvement after practicing with the Medicus Driver for the very first time! Even impartial observer, Tom Fisher, Technical Director of the Taylormade Performance Lab, had to be impressed.

PGA TaylorMade Performance Lab Medicus Golf Assessments

Tom Fisher, Technical Director of the TaylorMade Performance Lab concluded,” We videoed their swings beforehand and looked at certain swing dynamics; we looked at path, face angle, speed of swing, ball speed et cetera. We noticed after they came back into the Lab after using the Medicus driver, we actually saw improvements in all of the above. Changing someone’s path and face angle in 20 minutes time is pretty impressive to me. I think the golfers left today’s and Friday’s event very, very encouraged about the change in their golf swings and looking to the future. They’re going to get their handicaps down from say a 15 to a 10 or even to single figures.” It appears that practicing with Medicus will all but guarantee a smoother, more consistent swing while adding distance and achieving greater accuracy. Ian Wright, TaylorMade engineer and inventor of the MATT System observed, “For the most part, training with the device seemed to have, on average, across all players a beneficial effect on performance.” Reflecting on the events of the weekend, Darren Huff basically summed up the feeling of all the test participants when he said, “It was an amazing experience. Learning how your swing was before and then after swinging the Medicus made a world of difference with my swing. You just couldn’t ask for anything better than what was accomplished today. It made a big difference.”

Medicus Make or Break Point 3: Back Swing

BREAKPOINT 3: BACK SWING & SETTING OF HANDS Beau Rials, Mike Bennett (Medicus Advisor, PGA Tour Instructor), Bob Koch (Inventor of Medicus Dual-Hinge Driver) giving the make or break points to golf swing. The ways that you can use your Medicus to improve your golf game. Shoulders continue to rotate around the spine while keeping the right knee flexed. The weight continues to transfer to the inside of the right heel. From the front view, the hands become fully hinged/cocked positioning the club perpendicular to the ground with the left arm extended and parallel. From the rear view, the club shaft should be pointed to the target line and the right arm should not be visible. COMMON FAULTS: A. Over extension of the arms and no hinging/cocking of the wrists. B. Weight has not transferred to the right side (reverse pivot). C. Shaft is too upright; right elbow is raised away from the body. D. Shaft is too flat, right elbow tucked too close to the body.

Medicus Make or Break Point 1: Take Away

Beau Rials, Mike Bennett (PGA Tour Instructor), Bob Koch (Inventor of Medicus Dual-Hinge Driver) giving the make or break points to a golf swing. The ways that you can use your Medicus to improve your golf game BREAKPOINT 1: TAKEAWAY The takeaway is simply rotating your upper body slowly to the right, allowing hands, arms and shoulders to move away together. This is best accomplished by relaxing the arms and hands and allowing the bigger muscles of the body to begin the movement. As the one-piece takeaway continues, the hands begin to hinge vertically. COMMON FAULTS: A. Taking away the club too fast with hinging/cocking of the wrist. B. Too fast with arms only. C. Lack of a one-piece takeaway; opening the clubface with the wrist to the inside. D. Lack of a one-piece takeaway; swinging with the hands pushing the clubface away from the body.
