Medicus PowerMeter – Unleash the Power – How to Set Up Your Medicus PowerMeter (Pt 2)

Medicus Power Meter – Because More Speed Means More Distance – Unleash the Power (Pt 2) How to set up your Medicus Power Meter Now we’re going to show you how easy it is to set the PowerMeter up, so you can measure your swing speed at impact. First thing you do is you press both buttons at once and hold them down. Then you let go. Then you’re going to see that this is set up for miles per hour. With the PowerMeter, you can actually set it up for English Metrics or miles per hour. So that means you can do it in Kilometers or miles per hour. Now I need to set the height of the player. So I press both buttons again. And I have it set up right now for a player that’s six foot tall. But if I want to change it, I could press either button. For this one I’ll press grip and you’ll see that it goes upward. If I press the club button, it goes downward. Now from here I press both buttons again and that sets the club length for the club I’m using. I have it set for a driver that’s forty-five inches, but if I have a club that’s longer than that — all I’m going to do is press my buttons. If I press grip it goes up. If I press club, it comes back down again. Once those are done, press them again you go back to zero. Now you’re ready to hit golf balls and see how your swing speed increases.

Medicus Power Meter – Unleash the Power – Attaching the PowerMeter to Your Club (Pt 3)

Medicus Power Meter – Unleash the Power – Attaching the PowerMeter to Your Club (Pt 3) Now that we have our settings, I’m going to show you how easy this attaches to your club. You simply undo the latches. Making sure that the end that says “Grip” is at the top. Open the drawer, you then place the club in the little slot that’s allowed. And you place this right underneath the grip of the club. Now pull the top over, now simply close the grips. Now you’re ready to start making swings. 1-0-6. Not bad for an old guy, but I’ve done a lot better. You know if I was working on increasing my distance, the first thing I’d have to do is learn how to swing this club faster. This talk about what swings this club faster. The bottom line is the faster your arm swings, the faster the club is going to move. The faster the club moves, the faster the ball is going to come off the club-face and that results in distance. There are a couple of other key factors. I can swing my arm as fast as I want, but if I am not hitting the ball in the center of the club-face; in the sweet-spot, then it’s still not going to go anywhere. If I’m swinging off-plane, that’s going to result in toe or heel hit and neither one of those are in the sweet-spot. So that means you’re not going to go. So again, once again I am going to focus on how fast I can swing my arms in balance, to generate more club-head speed. More club-head speed means more ball-speed, more ball-speed means more distance. The New Tour Swing, The Stack And Tilt Golf Swing

I recently came across a golf swing article called the Stack And Tilt Golf Swing that was very interesting and is becoming very popular. In fact, Golf Digest Magazine did an article on it as well, so it is definitely gaining some popularity. Golf swing instructors Mike Bennett and Andy Plummer have devised this swing method. They have a stable of PGA and Nationwide tour players, so they got attention very quickly. If I’ve peaked your curiosity, Mike Gray over at Life In The Rough golf blog has a follow up stack and tilt golf swing article. Mike does a great job in comparing (see sample picture from article below) two top-level players…and pointing out the subtle but definite differences in the so-called modern golf swing and the stack and tilt golf swing. The player comparison involves Number One in the world Tiger Woods and a stack and tilt golfer named Will MacKenzie.

Medicus Power Meter – Unleash the Power – Introducing the Power Line (Pt 4)

Medicus Power Meter – Unleash the Power – Introducing the Power Line (Pt 4) Now one of the questions I always get when I tell players to swing their arms faster is they say, “Well, how do I do that?” Fortunately at Medicus Golf, we have a training aid line design specifically to do that, it’s called our Power Line. The Power Line has three (3) models in it. 1) The first one is called the Power Max, it’s a heavy-weighted hittable driver. 2) The second one is a weighted-hittable lob-wedge 3) And the third one is a weighted-hittable 7-iron. Golf Top Tips with Hank Haney: Fixing Your Slice with the Medicus

Golf Top Tips with Hank Haney: Fixing Your Slice with the Medicus www.medicus7.com Ninety percent of the people that play golf tends to slice their drive to the right. The most common mistakes that they make is they take the golf club too much to the inside on their back swing, they lift it up and they come down onto the ball over the top and too steep of an angle on approach, which causes the club face to open. The Medicus can help you fix that mistake in your swing. Because if you take the golf club too much to the inside with the Medicus, it breaks down. And then when you make your loop over the top, it breaks down again. Keeping the Medicus straight will help you to get that golf club to swing on the correct plane. Swing the Medicus and keep it straight and you’ll fix your slice forever.

Mike Bennett and Bob Koch Stack and Tilt with Medicus

With the Stack and Tilt golf swing, the majority of your weight is on the leading foot which gives you more control as the club hits the ground. Less weight is shifted to the back leg, so it remains straight. This means fewer topped shots because the weight forward makes the approach to the golf ball steeper and the swing is flat and more rotational. At Break point number five, we find Mike Bennett and Bob Koch demonstrating the Stack and Tilt golf swing method using the Medicus Dual-Hinge Driver. ========================= Mike Bennett: Another spot where the club will break is break point number five. And Bob broke the club as he went pass impact. If the weight of your body is too far back, go ahead and demonstrate that Bob. If you notice that he is leaning on his right foot there, Beau. Beau: Yep. Mike Bennett: That will cause the club to overtake or break. Which will cause some missed hits. You see that all the time when people are falling back on their right foot as they try and hit the ball. Beau Rials: Ok, Bob. Go ahead. Bob Koch: So I should feel like in the center, to the left? Mike Bennett: Absolutely, more centered. Beau Rials: So you should not be rushing at this point? Mike Bennett: No.. no need to rush. Bob Koch (swings Meicus driver): Oh yeaaa. Beau Rials: Stayed completely intact all the way through. Mike Bennett: Very good. Beau Rials: Again, make or break point number five, it’s at the bottom of the swing. Don’t rush it. Mike Bennett: Right. Keep the

Orange Whip Swing Trainer vs.. Medicus

Orange Whip Golf Swing Trainer vs Medicus. This gentlemen was swinging his Medicus at the range and his motion was a perfect example of how most swing training devices do nothing for people. You can swing a medicus without it breaking down and still make a bad motion. So I took some video of his medicus swing and then had him try the Orange Whip. This is video of his first swing of the Orange Whip. This is not uncommon. It’s normal. The Orange Whip lets a person like Walt intuitively feel where the slot is as well as lots of other proper positions. It WANTS to be swung properly is one way to describe it. Sequencing, plane, lag, tempo and balance all get better and fall into place. It’s a remarkable swing trainer that continues to grow in popularity mostly on word of mouth. There are dozens of tour pro’s using the Whip regularly. If you haven’t tried it yet, hold your judgement until you do. I have yet to meet anyone that didn’t like this product.

Medicus Independent Test at the TaylorMade Performance Lab

Can the Medicus Driver actually improve your golf swing the very first time you use it? To find out, we conducted an independent test at the TaylorMade Performance Lab in Carlsbad, CA. Where nine high speed cameras and advance motion analysis software combine to create an animated 3-D image. Your swings can be viewed from any angle; compared side by side, even combined into a composite image, and then analyze to provide precise information on every aspect of your golf swing, and your golf shots. Altogether, an amazing 19 out of 20 golfers tested showed noticeable improvement after practicing with the Medicus Driver for the very first time! Even impartial observer, Tom Fisher, Technical Director of the Taylormade Performance Lab, had to be impressed.
