    6. Great tips Mark!

    7. 4:06 (swing 3) is me. Many thanks for the analysis Mark. Unfortunately the right leg straightening is a remnant of my old “weight forward” mentality (ex-Stacker). Will definitely try and keep the right knee more flexed. I think Snead is a good model to go for with the knee flex on this one? Thanks again Mark and keep up the excellent work.

Other than that, how does the swing look to you? Feels like I’m a hair away from being a good golfer (currently 15 h/c)

    8. @Mizunoaddict Is that a person or place? The nets are Coombe Wood and I’m definitely not a Douglas. ;)

    9. 5:08 – Thanks Mark. It makes a lot of sense. I look forward to trying out your advise. Glad I was able to give a laugh too, haha.

    10. Hi Mark, great video!
What is that shaft and iron head you are using in the video? it looks like a mizuno iron head though and it sounds great!

    11. Genius Mark! Pure genius. I’m really glad to have found your videos.

    12. Thanks mate. Now I realise the importance of the grip.

    13. @Zeuxify

He uses MP53s with ProjectX graphite shafts. I use the exact same combo and they’re great!

    14. @mcnaugam
I see, thanks mcnaugam. How’s the ball flight with that combo? is it slightly lower?

    15. So anyone have any idea what the deal is with the people who talk about trying to keep the right foot connected to the ground during impact as much as possible? Several pros do this and some dont. How much would this affect the quality of shots if its done either way or is it just about preference. Webb Simpson and others do this.

      Thanks!!!

      Happy New Year!

    16. Hey Mark, great videos. I was wondering what your opinion was on the somax videos I’ve been seeing so much of on much of the golf related youtube videos.

    17. at 3 minutes you talk about the problem of a grip too much diagonal thru and in the palm…vs in the fingers which you say is desirable. Is that correct in what i heard? I thought in lessons a few yrs ago the teacher tried to get me out of a mostly base of fingers grip and into a more diagonal up thru the palm grip? I wonder which is right? I tend to draw or hook if that means anything? confused?

    18. I prefer your old music intro……

    19. I swear, I learn something every video I watch of yours!!! Thanks for your help!!
      Cheers!

    20. hi mark i have posted a video response could you let me know what you think about my swing i have been told i have a good swing but i cannot do this consistently could you give me any tips thanks alot

    21. Hi mark

Looking at the assessment of the first swing, is it not fair to say that the downswing is actually a result of a poor backswing rather than an independent problem.

The player seems to collapse his left leg on the backswing, losing height in his left hip and then separates the connection between upper and lower body as his ability to coil further is now lost. He has to then lift his arms to the top of the swing. The hips are then stuck ahead of the body for the downswing and the only p

    22. ….,place the knees can go are forwards for the downswing. His weight is already so far to the left at this point that if he shifted his weight further left he would fall to the left.

For the same reason he has to swing ‘over the top’ to connect with the ball without losing his balance.

      Cheers simon

    23. Hi mark I have trouble with my posture and the top of the backswing could you help
